Robert Douglas Enochs

June 16, 1946 ~ August 23, 2022

Robert (Bob) Enochs passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 23rd at the age of 76. Bob was born and raised in Lincoln, ME and graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 1964.

As a successful entrepreneur, Bob was fearless in launching new ventures and saw them through to success with hard work and tenacity. He never hesitated to share his knowledge and experience to help others get ahead. A few of his most recognizable businesses in the Lincoln area include the Waterfront Event Center, Lincoln House Motel, Lincoln Trading and Pawn and Timberhouse Restaurant. Despite all his hard work, Bob always found time to enjoy many activities offered by the Great State of Maine such as hunting, fishing, ATV, boating and playing cribbage, to name a few.

At mid-life he earned a pilot’s license and proudly owned a Cessna float plane. He made trips to camps in Quebec, Scraggly Lake, and many other places. He loved to treat people to rides, as it was his passion. He was known to fly to the coast to pick up fresh lobsters for gatherings at the lake. Bob also was a member of Horeb Lodge #93 for 31 years and served in the Army National Guard for six years.

Entertaining friends and family was always a priority for Bob. He welcomed visitors with a warm greeting that definitely included the immediate offer of a cocktail of their choice. He entertained so many people wherever he went. Family and friends have many warm memories of the good times at his homes at Cold Stream Pond and Barefoot Bay, FL.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Don and Eleanor Enochs. He is survived by his wife, Beth Enochs; children, William Enochs, Linda and her husband, Jamie Arnold, Donnie and his wife Sheila Enochs and stepchildren, Devan Knott, Jordan Knott, Kamryn Knott, Hayden Weatherbee and Ardyn Weatherbee. He is also survived by his sisters, Elaine Enochs and her husband, Larry Kuusela, Mary Jane Norton, and Joann Whitten. He leaves behind six grandchildren, Bradley and Tyler Arnold, Sarah and Mason Enochs, Amelia and James Enochs as well as three step-grandchildren, Hazen and Theodore Knott, and Harper Weatherbee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to either the VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, Cold Stream Camp Owners Association, 109 Abbott Drive, Enfield, ME 04493 or the Maine Aeronautics Association, PO Box 501, Woolwich, ME 04579.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gillmor’s Restaurant, West Broadway in Lincoln, ME, in September 2022 and a gathering will be held in Barefoot Bay FL, in October 2022.

Bob was a very special guy. I’ve known him since I was 15. For my 50th class reunion he happen to own a stretch limo. We had our camper parked at the lake . He said “ let me drive you. Tom and I jumped in… old Bob had plans. When we pulled up to the KFC hall he locked the doors so we couldn’t get out. Next thing I know Bob has on a chauffeur hat and opens the door for us ….that was Bob…he always made things special, always went that extra mile. We will miss you Bob Enoch

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
