It’s heart breaking to know that Bob has passed away. Bob was a true friend, the type of stand-up man who was always there for his friends, he’s a true gem. He was always there when you needed anything – and I mean anything! Bob came to our rescue so many times as a newly married couple and home owners. We knew nothing, Bob, on the other hand, knew everything! He was the guy who taught my husband everything he knows about electricity, he helped us wire and re-wire countless things and probably saved us from burning our house down a thousand times over! Bob shared his knowledge and gave his friendship on so many occasions. He was so many things to us, an inspiration and role model on a marriage that stands the tests of time, a mentor, a teacher, and a true friend. While miles may have separated us these past few years, the memories we had together are always close in our hearts.
Shirley, miss you and thinking of you, please know that Bob was truly loved.

Bob was a great man who did so much for us and many others over the years. Always the first to help. Words can’t express how much he’ll be missed and what his and Shirley’s friendship has meant to me over the years. I will treasure the many great memories and laughs we all shared! So sorry for your loss Shirley. There are no words. Much love to you and your family during this very difficult time!

Aunt Shirley, I cannot express how sad I am about the sudden passing off your husband. He was one of the best people I’ve ever known, was always there to help no matter what, and everyone I’m sure will miss him.
Rest in peace Uncle Bob.

Shirley, our thoughts and are with you and your family in this time of mourning. Bobby was such a good man and a good friend. Certainly, a staple for so many years in the town of Auburn with so many friends. The guy would help anyone with anything. AFD member’s home projects. Firehouse projects. Bobby helped me transition into something I knew nothing about when I joined the AFD… and no one knew Engine 1 like Bobby Grenier. The parties we went to. The laughs. It was a rare moment when you could catch Bobby without a smile on his face. So many great times, so many great memories that we can, and will, hang on to. Love and prayers to you all…
