Rosemary Hudson

April 15, 1933 ~ September 29, 2024

Rosemary Wheatley Hudson of Vero Beach, FL and Marion, MA was born in Rio de Janeiro to British parents.  She attended boarding school in England and returned to Larchmont NY where her parents had relocated.  Rosemary continued her education at Skidmore College and graduated with a nursing degree. She subsequently met Donald Hudson in NYC.  They were married that same year in England as Don was stationed in Munich for the US Air Force.

 

Two years later ,Rosemary and Don returned to the US where they raised their children in Puerto Rico and Connecticut. There, Rosemary worked as a nurse primarily in the Darien, Norwalk and New Haven school systems. They later settled in Boston where  Rosemary enjoyed volunteering at the MFA, playing tennis, gardening, entertaining and extensive travel.

 

Rosemary is survived by her husband Don of 68 years, her daughter Lauren (Rick), grandchildren Derick and Wheatley and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, two bothers and her son, Jamison Hudson. A memorial service will be held in Marion, MA at a later date in 2025.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the VNA of Vero Beach, FL.
