I always felt honored to have such a loving mother. She was always there for me.
I made many of trips to Vero Beach to visit for weeks at a time. We would travel up and down the coast along the ocean she loved.

Her last week she was at home watching the ocean and accompanied by two grand daughters, her son and daughter.

Mom, I truly love you.
Your Son,
Steve

Aunt Ruthie will leave a legacy of love, laughter and strength to everyone who knew and loved her.
Aunt Ruthie, her husband Elwood, my Dad her brother and my mom gave us such a great example of how to live life with love of family, integrity in everything they did and the ability to laugh and find joy in life. They taught their children how to live life to the fullest. We were so blessed to have them.

Dear Steven

I just found out today that my friend, Ruth Kingsley, has gone on to be with the Lord Jesus. Your beloved mother always had a smile and said she was fine. I was blessed to have cards thanking her for whatever made her happy. She seemed to like chocolates.

You, Steven, was a loving son and took marvelous care of her. You should know how you touched all of us as your faithfulness was so evident. Thanks for being such a wonderful son.

Many blessings as you were special.

God bless you always.

For most of the past ten years, Ruth has been Susi’s and my only full time neighbor on the fifth floor of the Chateau and we very much enjoyed our conversations together. Of course, Steve would always join us for our periodic hurricane watches and clean ups. I would deliver Ruth’s newspaper to her door daily – – but if I was late on weekends, I will never forget seeing her coming down the walkway to deliver mine to my door, always with a smile. When I became treasurer of the condo, she always made herself available to sign checks, and we would often visit for a while. We shall all miss her at the Ocean Chateau.

Years that my mother filled our lives have vanished, and now but cherished memories. She always felt close even though distance separated us. Sunday conversations brought us closer together sharing books we so enjoyed. Remembering special times in Vero Beach recapturing happy moments. Her favorite restaurant the Ocean Grill with my son, Erik, wife, Karol, and sister, Karen, overlooking the beach was a pleasurable time. Always very young in spirit and never giving in to any physical discomfort belying her age. We will all miss you beyond words can ever express. Love you forever….. Catherine and Erik

For us, seeing grandma was a highlight either with a planned or surprise visit . We enjoyed taking her to her favorite restaurant in Vero. She had a passion for traveling and she liked talking about her life adventures with Elwood. She was strong, fun, and ageless just like the ocean she loved so much. Erik hummed every time we saw her and she noticed. Pure happiness… such a pleasure spending time together.
Wink and smile forever

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
