I am just learning of Steve’s passing. To the family, Steve was a very astute union rep who taught me a great deal about certain process relative to his maintenance craft. He had a keen knowledge of his craft and could approach grievance work with spot assuredness that made him an asset to the Long Island Area Local. When he first retired, I would continue to reach out to him to ask questions. I eventually stopped calling him about work as I felt he had served his time and deserved to enjoy his retirement. I still speak of his great work with other in his craft.
As a newer work colleague, i didnt get to know his personal side as he transferred to another local shortly after my ascension in the ranks. He is a respected man and his efforts were noticed and missed. Continued blessings to the family, and we all that you for the chance to work and know your son, nephew, brother, and cousin.
