Steven Ronald Murphy

August 01, 1949 ~ June 18, 2021

Steven Ronald “Murf” Murphy, 71 of Sebastian, FL, joined his loved ones in heaven on Friday, June 18, 2021. He was born in St. Albans, VT on August 1, 1949 to Gladys and John Murphy. He had been a resident of Sebastian, FL for 36 years coming from Highgate, Vermont. Steve was married to Diane Brosseau Murphy on March 15, 1969.

Steve worked in the limestone quarry early in his life.  He also worked in construction and built homes with his brother.  He then worked in the dairy industry for several years before moving to Florida in 1985.  When he moved to Florida, he worked primarily in citrus with a few years in construction building luxury homes in John’s Island.

Steve was survived by his spouse Diane Brosseau Murphy; his children, daughter, Melissa (Robert) Heath; daughter, Sharon (Robert) Arnold; daughter Tracey (Robert) Stillwaggon; and son, Jacob (Joell) Murphy; his grandchildren Alice Gladfelter; Alisa Heath; Joshua Heath; Damian Arnold; Autumn Arnold; Philip Murphy; & Brooke Stillwaggon.  He is also survived by his sibling’s sister, Shirley Lapan, brother John Murphy Jr., sister Debby Corliss and sister Kathy Pasha and 8 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Gladys and John Murphy.
