Thomas Scott Aulick, aka ‘Gator’, age 74, passed away peacefully in his home after a prolonged illness on August 16, 2023. Born and raised in Vero Beach, Florida, he was a die-hard Florida Gators fan and loved Nascar racing.
A Vietnam Veteran, he was drafted into the United States Army right after high school. He served his country from 1968 until he was honorably discharged in 1971.
Thomas was pre-deceased by his parents Donald and Frances, brother Mark and sister Donna. He is survived by his loving wife of 55-years, Anita, their son Richard, and their daughter Cassandra (Todd). Grandchildren Alecia, Alexandria (Corbitt) and Karissa. Great grandchildren Faith, Ethan, and Olivia. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his older sister Karman (Marvin), younger brother Steve (Bonnie), and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Shortly before retiring, he joined the Salvation Army of Vero Beach church and was a very active and recognized volunteer. During his service to the Salvation Army, he received numerous awards for his community service, including the 2012 George Bachman Bellringer for Top Bell Ringer and the 2016 Bob MacGowan Award for “Outstanding contribution to feeding those in need.”

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 9th at First Baptist Church of Vero Beach, 2206 16th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL. Service will begin at 11:00 am and will include a military funeral honors ceremony. Family-style BBQ to follow after the service.

Gator Tommy we will miss you, your jokes, your honesty, your love of family, but mostly your heart felt blessings of the meals at the family reunions, when special needs prayers were needed, and so many other gatherings.
