Timothy David Kleve

January 30, 1957 ~ January 03, 2024

Timothy (Timmy) David Kleve passed away peacefully in Vero Beach, FL on January 3, 2024, after a short illness. He was surrounded by loved ones as he left this world.

Tim was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 30, 1957 to Kenneth and Betty Kleve. He is survived by his partner, Steven Smith; siblings, Diane (Keith) Cotch, Tom (Mary) Kleve, Lisa (Russell) Wiley and Beth (Mike) Degnon. Tim is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews, family, and very dear friends near and from MN, FL, NY and PA.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ken; grandparents and Al Feig.

Tim serviced in the United States Navy from January of 1978 until his honorable discharge in January of 1982.

Tim lived for his family and friends. He brought people together with his genuine love of others and kind spirit. He was loved by many.

“Funeral Blues by W. H. Auden” says how many felt about Tim, “He was my North, my South, my East and West; my working week and my Sunday rest; my noon my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.”
Donations may be made, in Tim’s memory, to Buddy’s World (buddysworld.org) or charity of your choice.

Tim will be missed by many, but our love, memories, and many laughs we shared will keep him in our hearts. He was a cherished member of my small friend group. My family was appreciative of all the help he gave me. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

Our sorrow is deep with the loss of our dear friend, Tim. We still can not believe the suddenness of him being gone. Snug Harbor will never be the same without him, but we have so many fun memories to keep with us. He’ll be missed terribly and loved forever. We’ll be around for Steve for as long as he’ll have us.. Love you both, Richard and Niki Davenport.

I have known Tim for 40 years and in all that time I never met anyone who could make friends as easily as Tim. He would always talk to me about his friends and family, many of whom I have never met but I feel as though I have. Tim was such an important part of the lives of so many of us. His kindness, humor and compassion are a big part of what makes up Tim’s spirit, and his spirit will stay alive in our hearts forever. My husband Tom Lillis and I send our sincerest condolences to all of his friends and family. R.I.P. Timmy.

My heart is so sad for you Steve. He was beyond loved. Beyond kind and good. I am sure he is throwing a gala event in heaven.
We will all surround you with love and support and whatever you need. Your love will be you strength. In the end, three things remain. Faith, hope and love,. The greatest of these is love. It is love that we one from and love that we are going to and nothing else- nothing else really matters.

I can’t believe Tim is gone. I was so hopeful after we spoke that he would recover quickly. So that I could finally meet Steve and with Glenn we could all hang out on the beach with Tim.
But I guess God wanted him more right now. I will miss him so much. Because of all my health issues these past 5 years we spoke by phone often. I’m thankful for that.
God bless and comfort Steve, his family and The Kleve Family Especially Diane, Tom, Lisa & Beth.
Rest in peace my dear friend Tim ❤️

Tim always put his artistic touch on our flower beds and landscaping. We will miss him pulling into the driveway ready to give our flowers a facelift. Our neighbors would walk by and tell us how great the flowers looked. Tim was truly magical. We miss you.

I will miss Tim so very much. The one thing that I’ll miss the most is just picking up the phone and giving him a shout. We would laugh, tell stories and just catch-up.

To you Tim, I’ll miss you so very much my dearest friend ❤️

Wow. We have lost a great man, a dear and great man and friend to me. I had tried to research Tim. I knew he was in Florida with Steve (whom I never met but am so sorry for). Tim and I parlayed Europe and the likes, during our service together. We shared a bond I have always, always treasured and shall. My heart wails, but for a rejoice, even. Goodbye, Timothy David.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
