Walter “Butch” Anderson, age 79, from Palm Bay, FL., passed away on June 4, 2024.
Born in 1944 in Bristol, Tennessee, Walter served in the United States Marine Corp from 1961- 1966 as a Motor Vehicle Operator. He also worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at various locations in Fl, NC, and TN. He was married to his loving wife, Barbara J (Hutson) Anderson for 60 years/ Walter was an avid fisherman and had a love for the outdoors.
Walter is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Anderson, one son, Timothy Anderson, his wife Sharon (Hoffarth) Anderson, two daughters, Robin (Anderson) Hicks, her husband James Hicks, Stacy (Anderson) Diehl, her husband Jason Diehl, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Walter was predeceased by his parents, Walter Sr. and Roberta (Wilson) Anderson; and two brothers Sam Anderson and Allen Anderson.
Walter will be laid to rest at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN in a private memorial service with family.
