Warren Dennis Orndoff, 92, passed in Viera, Florida, on September 10, 2026.

Warren was born August 8, 1934, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Harold Orndoff and Myrtle Culbertson.

Warren enlisted in the US Army at the age of 16 and went directly to the Korean War.  After his return from Korea, Warren completed his GED.

Warren completed reserve time in the US Army and then transferred full time to the USAF as a communications technician.  Warren met and married his wife Michele Francoise Esmiol in Rabat Morrocco on March 12, 1960 during his first Air Force assignment and they were married for 66 years.

Warren was transferred to Wiesbaden Germany, where his eldest daughter, Ghyslaine, was born and where they lived close to France, where many of his wife’s relatives lived.

Warren served at various other assignments, including Topeka, Kansas, where his daughter Yolanda was born.  While in Topeka, Warren deployed to Vietnam for 326 days.

Other assignments included Taipei, Taiwan, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and Randolph AFB, Texas.  Warren’s last military assignment was to Moron AB, Spain, were he and his family lived for 7 wonderful years.  Warren retired honorably from the USAF in 1974 after 22 years of service.

Warren worked as an independent TV/radio repairman on the economy in Spain and then was hired by General Electric to do communications installments around the country.  Warren and his family returned to the United States in 1978 and lived in Melbourne, Florida.  Warren earned a Bachelor of Science from Rollins College in 1981 and worked for GTE Sprint for 20 years doing communications installments around Florida.

Warren took up golf in his retirement and was a member of the Viera East men’s golf association.  He was always quick with a joke and always offering to help the neighbors in his community.

Warren and his wife Michele loved to travel and did so extensively all of their married life to include traveling to Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Ramona Copp, Murle Cibulski, and Anita Gaede, his brothers Marvin and Chet Orndoff, his wife, Michele, who died on June 30th, 2026, and grandson James Diehl.

He is survived by daughters Ghyslaine and Yolanda and grandson Joshua.

A Committal service with Military Honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas 78209, on October 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
