William Dunbar Tucker, ESQ

William Dunbar Tucker, ESQ, 62, of Palm City died at his home of natural causes on Friday evening, April 8, 2022.

 

On September 17, 1959, he was born in Buffalo, New York at the Millard Fillmore Hospital where his father, Ross M. Tucker, M.D. was serving a rotating Medical Internship and his mother was a respiratory therapy technician. After graduating from high school in Rochester Minnesota, he attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and Duluth, Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and the University of Florida in Gainesville. After he graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.S. degree, he then graduated from the Cumberland University School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in June of 1990. He also received a Master of Business degree from The University of Alabama in Birmingham at the same time. He next attended the University of Florida at Gainesville for his Graduate degree in tax law, LLM.

 

He practiced law in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was also certified to hear cases in the Florida and United States Supreme Courts. In June of 2014 he suffered a debilitating cerebrovascular accident (stroke) that left him unable to converse by speech, known as expressive aphasia. From that time on he could no longer practice his legal profession and lived with his parents for the next eight years until he passed away on April 8, 2022.

 

He is survived by two children, Andrew Linden Tucker and Grant William Tucker and his parents, Dr. Ross McDonald and Mrs. Judith Ann Tucker. He is also survived by his sister, Ms. Catie T. Briggs and a niece, Ms. Judith Alexis Tucker, nephew, Mr. Ross McDonald Tucker II, and former wife and mother of his children, Hope Moxon Tucker. He was predeceased in death by his only brother, Mr. Gordon Denis Tucker in 2018.

 

A memorial service will be held at a time and place to be determined in the near future.
