William T. Caporizzo

August 29, 1938 ~ May 20, 2026

William (Willie/Cappy) Caporizzo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on August 29, 1938, in Stamford, Connecticut.

Willie graduated from Stamford High School in 1956 and was a proud member of a group of lifelong friends known as The Boys of ‘56. He worked as a plumber with his father and his son and eventually took over the business known as Cappy’s Plumbing & Heating. Over the years he loved playing golf, going to the casino, traveling, spending winters in Vero Beach, Florida and spending time with his family and friends. Family meant everything to him and as a friend, he would give you the shirt off his back if needed.

Willie is survived by Angela, his loving wife of 42 wonderful years; his children, Sherri Caporizzo (Danny) and Scott Caporizzo (Susie); stepdaughters Anne O’Hagan (Mark) and Christine Adonetti (Nick). He also leaves behind his grandchildren Billy (Tara), Scotty (Erika), Tami, Kelly (Devin), Ryan (Belinda), Sean, and great grandchildren Madison, Bronson, Maeve and Ryder, who were all the love of his life. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Peter Brown, his dear cousin Vita Ienner, brother-in-law Frank Milito (Lorraine), sister-in-law Gloria Milito, several nieces and nephews, extended family, and many close friends.

Willie was preceded in death by his father William P. Caporizzo and his mother Mollie (Gerardi) Caporizzo and his sister Margo Brown.

Willie was truly a “one of a kind” person who lit up a room when he walked in. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service for Willie will be announced at a later date.

Dear Angie, Sherry, & Scott: To know Willie was to love him. So few cousins are left now from the sisters & brothers. Those times were the halcyon days of our youth. He will be deeply missed & lovingly remembered.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
