Zachary Medlin

March 14, 1995 ~ September 28, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zachary “Zach” Medlin, who left us far too soon on September 28, 2024, at the age of 29. Born on March 14, 1995 in Greenville, SC, Zachary brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered. His caring and selfless nature, paired with his sharp wit and boundless creativity, made him someone truly unforgettable.

Zachary was known for his incredible empathy and his unwavering support for those he loved. He always knew how to make people feel understood and valued, and was often the first to lend a listening ear or offer words of encouragement. Even through his most difficult days Zachary remained strong, continuing to give love and support to those around him. His strength in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Zachary was passionate about sharing his love for reading and video games with those around him, always ready to spark a conversation about his latest interests or make others laugh with his unique sense of humor. His imagination knew no bounds, and his heart was as big as his dreams. He had a special way of making everyone feel seen and appreciated, and his kindness left an imprint on all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Joni (Tim); his older brother, Matthew (Caitlyn); his younger sisters, Lily (Hannah) and Alyssa (Matt); and his cherished nephews, Austin and Henley. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Lynn; his uncle, Michael, Jr.; his aunt, Alesha; and his cousins, Caleb and Carissa. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael, Sr.

Though no formal services will be held, Zachary’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy is one of laughter, creativity, and endless generosity of spirit.

Rest in peace Zachary, your family loves and misses you so much, always and forever.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
